Protein Repellent, Surface‐Attached Hydrogels Through Spray Coating
نویسندگان
چکیده
This work describes a novel technique for the deposition of surface-attached hydrogels, which is based on combination spray coating and CH-insertion cross-linking (CHic) to create protein repellent surface. To this, hydrogel precursor polymers are coated onto surface be modified, dried, photo cross-linked in solid state. Spray allows application precursors fast flexible way, so that even geometrically challenging substrates can coated, such as round surfaces present inside blood collection tubes. Characterization coatings shows layer thickness roughness controlled sub micrometer range by varying parameters. Interestingly, ability deposited attached repel proteins highly affected these For layers with an identical chemical composition, adsorbing formed depending spraying conditions. Finally, human serum repellency glass tubes investigated show drastic improvement over uncoated

PTEE Based Water Repellent Coating for Telecommunication Antennas
Since thick snow or ice adhering to the surface of an antenna used for radio communication can impede telecommunication [1], methods to reduce the buildup of snow and ice are needed. Various methods have been investigated. For example, the adhesion of ice to common rubber has been measured [2], and recently, a method that takes advantage of the physicochemical properties of material surfaces ha...
متن کاملModulating Drug Release from Gastric-Floating Microcapsules through Spray-Coating Layers
Floating dosage forms with prolonged gastric residence time have garnered much interest in the field of oral delivery. However, studies had shown that slow and incomplete release of hydrophobic drugs during gastric residence period would reduce drug absorption and cause drug wastage. Herein, a spray-coated floating microcapsule system was developed to encapsulate fenofibrate and piroxicam, as m...
متن کاملStimuli-Responsive Dipeptide-Protein Hydrogels through Schiff Base Coassembly.
Different from the conventional irreversible covalent conjugations, a simple and efficient dynamic Schiff base covalent assembly is developed to construct the stable and smart dipeptide-protein hydrogels under mild conditions. Diphenylalanine-hemoglobin hydrogel is chosen to investigate the gelation formation process and mechanism. It is found that such assembled dipeptide-protein hydrogels are...
